Sheila's Island, by Tim Firth
will be our autumn play in October 2024 and comes from the author of "Calendar Girls" and "Kinky Boots". Our four ladies are Team C in an outward-bound team-building weekend. Somehow, Sheila has been nominated team leader, and, using her cryptic crossword solving skills, has unwittingly stranded her team on an island in the Lake District. It's a great comedy, but with darker themes.

Thanks to a very generous grant from the    we have been able to replace our 1990s sound system and add a set of radio microphones. We hired it all in for "Oliver!" and that was so successful we thought we should get our own. Its first real outing was for our January Pantomime "Cinderella". And what a difference it made. Fantastic sound.
